The Qatari Haj Mission has approved the camps location for nine Qatari Haj campaigns in Mina and Arafat.
Director of the Qatari Haj Mission Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri explained that the pilgrims' camps in Mina are located in one site while the camps in Arafat are distributed on two sites (Arafat 1) and (Arafat 2).
He pointed out that the preparation of the state pilgrims sites in the holy places began some time before the Haj season, through coordination with the Ministry of Haj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Muttawiffy Hujjaj South Asia Company, where several meetings were held, which contributed to the allocation of distinct sites to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar in Arafat, near the main street and the Al Mashaer Train.
He added that the Haj Mission distributed the camps in Mina and Arafat on the campaigns according to number of pilgrims in each campaign and the approved space for each pilgrim. The camps were fully equipped with security and safety requirements, emergency exits were identified, male and female workers were allocated to the camps, providing all necessary services, facilities and equipment such as air conditioners, modern toilets, seating and sleeping areas, in addition to other equipment such as mattresses and appropriate electric power. Suitable places have also been allocated for the medical clinics of the Qatari mission, where there is a clinic for men and another for women, with the aim of comforting pilgrims and providing them with the appropriate conditions so that they can perform their rituals in the best conditions possible.
Al Misifri pointed pout that Qatari Haj Mission set up an evacuation plane in case of emergency where a gathering point and emergency exits were allocated. The camps have also been provided with safety and security means whether inside the tents or in the corridors under the supervision of qualified personnel from Qatari civil defence as well as Saudi civil defence. The Qatari Haj Mission adopted a new system this year to provide the best services in the holy places to all pilgrims of the State of Qatar.
