Amman, June 30 (Petra) -- Police have arrested two people accused of robbing an exchange store in Amman earlier in the week.
The Public Security Department's (PSD) spokesperson said two persons stole JD3,000 at gunpoint from an exchange shop near the Queen Alia Airport Road on Tuesday night and escaped with a vehicle that had a fake license plate.
Investigation teams had been able to capture one of the two 'in record time,' the spokesman said.
The second suspect, the spokesperson continued, stayed below radar until police located his whereabouts and arrested him Thursday morning, carrying a sum of the stolen money.
After investigating them, they confessed to planning the crime and using plastic guns. The suspects will be referred to the State Security Court.
