Russia cautions West of consequences of sending weapons to Ukraine

(MENAFN) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has cautioned the West that carrying on to send Ukraine advanced arms will only extend the war in Ukraine.

During a press session, on Tuesday, the veteran diplomat said that the view of the West on Ukraine is “absolutely counterproductive and harmful.”

“Pumping up” Ukraine with Western weapons will only lead Russia “to perform more missions on the ground, he also declared.

“The more weapons are pumped into Ukraine, the longer this conflict will last, the longer the agony of the Nazi regime, which is supported by Western capitals, will last,” Lavrov added, remarking on claims from Ukrainian and Western representatives related to a shopping mall in Kremenchug, which Russian forces hit on Monday.
