(MENAFN) Germany’s Federal Network Agency stated on Monday that the situation with natural gas in the nation was stressed and may become worse.
The watchdog said it was “monitoring the situation very closely and is in constant contact with gas industry enterprises.”
But, it declared that gas deliveries to the nation are steady now. The level of gas use in storage facilities surpasses 60 percent, as reported by the agency.
The chief of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries, Kerstin Andreae, stated that “because of Russia sanctions, Germany has to bet on coal <...> We are displacing gas in order to become more independent of fossil energy and Russian gas.”
