Qatar prepares to accommodate World Cup 2022 spectators with impairments
(MENAFN) According to H E Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, Minister of Social Development and Family, Qatar is completely prepared to offer all means of receiving fans with impairments at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
She claimed that among other comfort measures, a lot of World Cup stadiums feature sensory rooms for guests with intellectual impairments.
The Minister was speaking at the Second Workshop on Arab Classification for Disability's opening ceremony, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel and was organized by the Ministry of Social Development and the Family in collaboration with the Secretariat General of the Arab League.
Both the head of social affairs, H E Dr. Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, and the minister of social development for Jordan, H E Ayman Al Mufleh, who also serves as the assistant secretary-general of the Arab League and as head of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, attended the ceremony.
