US tech titan promises to depart from Russia

(MENAFN) According to Microsoft President Brad Smith, the corporation is going to continue to reduce its operations in Russia until none remain.

According to Smith in an online interview with the Washington Post, the United States technology corporation is going to in the interim give its Russian staff the assistance they need.

In March, Microsoft made intentions to stop all new sales and services there. The software behemoth justified the action by pointing to Moscow's imposition of penalties connected to the Ukraine.

Bloomberg stated earlier the current month that since the decision to leave Russia was taken, the corporation has significantly reduced its operations there. According to reports, Microsoft has committed to upholding all of its contractual responsibilities to its Russian workers. Over 400 employees are impacted by the change.
