Roma approaches deal with Ronaldo

(MENAFN) In line with reports Roma couch Jose Mourinho is trying to take benefit of Cristiano Ronaldo's sadness at Manchester United by managing an agreement to bring the Portuguese superstar to back Italian football.

Ronaldo has one year left on his contract at Old Trafford (with an option to extend for one more if it is mutually agreed) but is stated to have developed unsatisfied with the club's laziness in the transfer market after the appointment of Dutch manager Erik ten Hag as the Red Devils' new head couch.

United have been connected to a lot of football stars such as the likes of Ajax winger Antony and Barcelona's creative playmaker Frenkie de Jong - but the expansion of the club has gotten off to a slow start under the new command.

And according to a report from Italy's Retesport, the seeming unwillingness to seal some top level transfers has made Ronaldo a abandoned figure and could hurry his departure from the team for a second time.
