Norway gunfire probed as terrorism


(MENAFN) Norwegian police have started a terror investigation over a shooting spree that killed two people and wounded others in downtown Oslo in early Saturday.

A gunman started shooting on bystanders at around 1:00am local time near several entertainment venues as well as a popular gay bar.

“Two people are dead and several injured after a serious incident at CJ Hambros Plass in central Oslo. Police have arrested the suspect. The incident is being investigated as terrorism,” Oslo police stated on early Saturday.

In their newest update, police announced 21 people are hurt, 10 of them seriously.
