Regular gas output capacity reaches over 1,000 mcm

(MENAFN) According to a study released by the Planning Directorate of the Oil Ministry, Iran's regular natural gas output capacity topped 1,000 million cubic meters (mcm) in the prior Iranian calendar year, which concluded on March 20.

Based on the ministry, when gas output from the South Pars gas field climbed by more than 4 percent from the prior year, the nation's natural gas output capacity set the aforementioned milestone for the first time (1399).

According to Shana, all phases of the South Pars field's development have been finished except for phase 11, which is still being developed. This field is located in the Persian Gulf and is shared by Iran and Qatar.
