Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul closes week higher


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index closed Friday at 2,554.08 points, increasing 0.43 percent from Thursday's end.

Opening the day at 2,554.76 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 10.87 points from the prior end.

The index's worst rate throughout Friday stood at 2,525.17, whereas its day-to-day peak reached 2,570.63.

The entire market value of the BIST 100 was nearly 2.09 trillion Turkish liras (USD120.58 billion) by market end, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 34.99 billion Turkish liras (USD2 billion).

Throughout the day, 61 shares on the index increased, 34 dropped, and five were unaffected against the prior end.

The price of one ounce of gold reached USD1,829.10, whereas Brent crude oil exchanged at nearly USD113.12 a barrel at 7.05 PM regional time (1605GMT).
