Doha Municipality's Health Control Section has spotted 47kg of expired foodstuff without data tags or labels inside a food organisation within Doha as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Adha.
Inspection and awareness campaigns are going on to ensure food safety. The seized expired food was immediately destroyed and a violation report issued according to law no 8 for 1990 on the regulation of human food control.
