Schools in urban areas will operate three days of the week next week.
The Ministry of Education said that schools in urban areas which remained closed this week owing to the fuel crisis will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 27 June 27 – 01 July.
Schools in other areas not affected by the fuel crisis will operate as usual.
The Ministry of Education said the Principals of Urban schools have been authorized to decide on operating primary classes.
Schools have also been instructed to introduce online teaching, homework, and home-based practical sessions for the days that schools remain closed. (Colombo Gazette)
