Ludhiana based industries to explore UAE free trade zone at B2B meet
Ludhiana, June 23 (KNN) Industries in Ludhiana will get an opportunity to explore how free trade zones can boost exports from Punjab to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the B2B meetings scheduled for June 24 and 25.
The two day interactive session will be organised by the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM) and there is no registration fee.
A high-powered delegation from Sharjah Airport International Free (SAIF) Zone will participate in the meeting.
Calling Ludhiana as a major north Indian centre of the apparel, woollen, garment, hosiery, manufacturing equipment, bicycle etc, Chamber's Punjab state council chairman Vijay Garg said,“Its exports have grown in the last decade but there is a potential for further increase.”
The upcoming session will teach business owners how they can boost exports through the SAIF zone and start up a business there for making the UAE their base for global export, he said.
Dubai has about thirty free trade zones, where many of the country's laws do not apply.
These zones have separate commercial and labour laws and, in the case of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a separate court system based on English common law. (KNN Bureau)
