FIFA prolongs number of international players that can leave Ukraine, Russia
(MENAFN) Through June 30, 2023, FIFA has prolonged a window permitting international managers and players to terminate contracts with their clubs in Russia and Ukraine.
The decision was made in accordance with guidelines that were issued in March with the intention of "effectively assisting players, clubs and coaches impacted by the war in Ukraine."
Should their Ukrainian or Russian teams not come to a "mutual agreement " with them by June 30, the current year, the international players and coaches have the option to " suspend their employment contracts with their clubs until 30 June 2023," according to the declaration.
