Inflation increases to record new peak since 1982 of 9.1pct
(MENAFN) In line with the most recent official numbers the level of inflation has increased to a new peak since nearly 1982 of 9.1 percent last month.
The update, from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), signifies a small rise on the 9 percent number of the prior month – motivated by ascending by April's exceptional increase in the fuel rate cap.
The ONS stated that the highest motivation last month was the increase in the rate of food and non-alcoholic beverages, mainly against with the drops witnessed at the same period in 2021.
In monthly basis, consumer costs were increased 0.7 percent last month.
