Turkey’s regular energy usage rises by 2.2pct on June 22


(MENAFN) Based on the official data of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday, regular electricity usage in Turkey soared by 2.21 percent on Wednesday in comparison to the prior day, standin at 945,205 megawatts per hours.

According to the TEIAS figures, hourly power consumption reached 45,633 megawatts per hours at 03.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption declined to the lowest point of 30,775 megawatts per hours.

Electricity output totaled 937,398 megawatts per hours on Wednesday, up 4.02 percent in comparison to the previous day.

Natural gas factories comprised by 24.8 percent of overall electricity generation, whereas imported coal factories and hydro power factories constituted by 18.1 percent and 14.4 percent, correspondingly.
