KSA’s non-oil exports rise by 37pct to hit USD7.3B


(MENAFN) According to a study from the General Authority for Statistics, or GASTAT, Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports rose by 36.6 percent in April in comparison to the same month previous year as the nation works to diversify its economy in order to meet the objectives defined in Vision 2030.

The research states that compared to SR20 billion during the same month previous year, Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports in April were SR27.4 billion (USD7.3 billion).

Nevertheless, as compared to March the current year, non-oil exports fell by SR1.5 billion (5.3 percent) in April.

The Kingdom's merchandise imports in April increased by 11.2 percent year over year to SR55.3 billion, but decreased by 1 percent from the previous month.
