Ooredoo Welcomes New FIFA Chief Business Officer, Affirms Its Support For Qatar 2022

Doha: Ooredoo has announced that its senior officials met with Romy Gai, FIFA's Chief Business Officer, on his recent trip to Doha. 

Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Nasser Al Thani, Chief Commercial Officer at Ooredoo, and a delegation of senior Ooredoo officials welcomed Gai on his visit. 

Sheikh Nasser and Gai discussed the strength of bilateral ties between Ooredoo and FIFA, with Ooredoo confirming its staunch support for FIFA events including the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, of which Ooredoo is Official Middle East & Africa Telecommunications Operator.

Gai expressed FIFA's appreciation of Ooredoo's continued support of sports activities events and tournaments — particularly football, at both local and international levels — and stressed FIFA's pride in cooperating with Ooredoo as a leading ICT provider in Qatar and the Middle East region. 

Gai thanked Ooredoo for its dedication to supporting and promoting football, and its efforts to upgrade communication solutions to ensure an enhanced fan experience at the upcoming World Cup.
