Trade Minister, Algerian PM Discuss Ties, Economy

Algeria, June 16 (Petra)-- Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Youssef Shamali, on Thursday, met with Algerian Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane.
Shamali, who is currently visiting Algeria, conveyed Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh's greetings and keenness to advance relations between Jordan and Algeria and face common challenges, namely, in the economic sphere.
According to a ministry statement, the two sides discussed cooperation in the field of oil, natural gas, mines, and re-operating direct flights between the two countries.
Shamali also discussed with Benabderrahmane excluding Jordan from the decision to ban the export of sugar, as well as the date of holding a meeting of the joint committee in Amman soon.
