Lulu Launches Pinoy Fiesta Celebrating Philippines Independence Day

Doha: Aligned with the Philippines Independence Day celebrations, Lulu Hypermarket yesterday launched Pinoy Fiesta, a grand retail festival of the best-loved Filipino brands of culinary products and speciality personal hygiene products.

The festival will run until June 18 in all Lulu stores across Qatar, and will highlight the top Pinoy food brands like UFC, Mama Sita's, Pure Foods, Lemon Square, Magnolia, Selecta, Jack N' Jill, Goldilocks, Lala, Skyflakes, Dadu Puti, Mother's Best, Delmonte, Bench, Silka and Century Tuna.

Ambassador of the Philippines to Qatar H E Alan L Timbayan inaugurated the festival at Lulu Hypermarket, D-Ring Road branch. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Philippine Embassy, Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) and Philippine Airlines, and many dignitaries including Shaijan M O, Regional Director and other senior officials from Lulu Group, and other leading business groups operating in Qatar. 

The festival offers a wide range of best quality agriculture produce and food products from the Philippines including an array of sauces like soy sauce and oyster sauce to banana syrup and a range of noodles, delicacies, and packaged foods, carefully curated for Lulu by the group's own sourcing office in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, which makes it possible for Lulu to sell products at the most affordable prices.

Speaking at the event, H E Timbayan said that Pinoy Fiesta is constantly promoting the Filipino products in Qatari markets.

“We are happy to know that many of our products including food and non-food items continuously gaining popularity not only among Filipino community but other expatriates as well in the country,” said the ambassador.

He also thanked Lulu Hypermarket for participating in the celebration of the 124th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippines Independence by holding the festival.
