Turkey’s regular energy usage drops by 8.9pct on June 4


(MENAFN) Based on the official numbers released by the Turkish Energy Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday, regular electricity usage in Turkey declined by 3.9 percent on Saturday in copmarison to the prior day, standing at 884,969 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, hourly electricity usage reached 41,838 megawatts per hours at 12.00 regional time (0900 GMT). At 07.00 regional time, the nation’s power use has reached its lowest point of 29,839 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

On Saturday, electricity output totaled 877,014 megawatts per hours, down 3.8 percent from the previous day.

Hydroelectric power factories contributed by 19.3 percent of overall electricity, whereas natural gas and wind energy comprised by 17.5 percent and 16.8 percent, correspondingly.
