BANDIPORA- In order to promote tourist activities and give a flip to tourist footfall in Gurez Valley, a first ever canoeing event was held on Friday at Gurez, Bandipora.
The event was organised by District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with the Tourism Department to promote Water sports in Gurez for tourists.
Gurez is a beautiful valley at a distance of 86 kms from Bandipora.
Blessed with nature's bounty, gushing clear water of Kishanganga and wonderful trekking routes along the ancient silk route, Gurez is a beautiful place to visit for tourists in Kashmir.
To boost the tourist flow and to explore the valley, the District Administration has started the 'Go Gurez Campaign'. This year, the District Administration in collaboration with the Tourism Department has organised various events involving local youth to attract tourists.
The beauty and mesmerizing view of Razdan Top, Kishanganga, Habba Khatoon Peak, Izmarg, Tarbal, Purana Tulail and Dawar etc adds the breathtaking beauty of Gurez.
Earlier this month the District Administration organised a bike rally from Mini Secretariat Bandipora to Dawar to promote tourist activities in Gurez.
