Hawari Discusses Health Conditions In Palestine, Golan Heights In Geneva

Amman, May 26 (Petra)-- Jordan's permanent delegation in Geneva presented a draft resolution on behalf of the Arab Group participating in the 75th World Health Assembly on item No. 20 related to the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Syrian Golan.
Health Minister Firas Hawari addressed the assembly in Geneva, yesterday on behalf of the Arab Group, where the draft resolution was adopted by the majority.
Hawari welcomed the report of the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the health conditions in the occupied Arab territories and the information, conclusions and recommendations it contained.
Hawari referred to the principles of the WHO, which affirm that health is a fundamental right of peoples and individuals and that it contributes to achieving peace and security.
The minister shed light on challenges facing Palestine in the difficulty of accessing various vaccines to the entire occupied lands, whether the compulsory triple vaccine for infants or the Covid 19 vaccine.
