Iran: Deaths after building fall increase to 14

(MENAFN) The death toll from a building fall in southwestern Iran increased to 14 on Wednesday, with officials being anxious that more people could still be stuck under the debris.

Ihsan Abbasipur, the governor of Abadan, updated Iranian state television that 14 bodies have been in good health until now, while the figure of wounded people rose to 37.

Labors are happening to save people still stuck under the 10-story building that fell in the city of Abadan on Monday, he noted.

At least 150 people are said to have been in the Metro Pol commercial building on the busy Amiri Street when it fell.
