Japan utters worry to Russia, China over 'show of force'

(MENAFN) Japan stated it uttered "grave concern" to Russia and China as Tokyo labelled as a "show of force" when both nations led a mutual air patrol in the Asia-Pacific area.

According to Hirokazu Matsuno, Japan's top government representative "We cannot overlook actions that heighten tensions in East Asia when Russia has already increased tensions in Ukraine."

Tokyo has expressed its "grave concern" to Beijing and Moscow, as reported by Kyodo News.
Over six military planes from Russia and China started a joint air patrol assignment in the Asia-Pacific area.

Russian aerospace forces and air forces of the Chinese People's Liberation Army held a 13-hour flight over an air group over the Sea of Japan and East China Sea, as stated by the Russian Defense Ministry.

On the words of its Chinese complement "The militaries of China and Russia staged the joint aerial strategic patrol in accordance with their annual military cooperation plan."
