Qatar to spend USD12.5B in UK's vital industries
(MENAFN) Qatar is going to spend Euro10 billion (USD12.5 billion) in important British sectors over the next five years as part of a new deal amongst the two nations.
According to a British administration declaration released on Tuesday, Qatar is going to invest in fintech, zero-emission cars, health sciences, and cyber security.
Based on the announcement, the Strategic Investment Partnership deal would create "high-quality jobs in new industries across the country."
The investment decision, according to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, demonstrates Qatar's trust in the Union Kingdom's industries.
He also mentioned, "Qatar is a valued partner for the UK, supported by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad’s leadership."
