TolalEnergies signs 15-year LNG contract with South Korea Hanwha

(MENAFN) French well-known energy firm TotalEnergies in addition to South Korea's Hanwha Energy Company inked a 15-year sale and purchase deal to provide liquefied natural gas (LNG), the firm stated in an announcement on Tuesday.

TotalEnergies is going to send 600,000 metric tons of LNG per year beginning after two years.

Hanwha is going to use the LNG, obtained from TotalEnergies’ global LNG portfolio at its 1 gigawatt gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant, which is presently in construction period.

The LNG is going to be exported to the Tongyeong regasification terminal in South Korea.
South Korea placed third as largest importer of LNG in the world's last year.
