German president visits Niger on 1st trip to Africa


(MENAFN) The German president went to Niger on the second day of his three-nation trip to Africa.

Olaf Scholz, who went abroad on his first trip to Africa on Sunday and went to Senegal in which he held meetings with Leader Macky Sall, is going to arrange his trip on Tuesday in South Africa.

Scholz, who became president six months ago, wrote a tweet on his account “This is my first trip to the African continent as chancellor. I made a conscious decision to go to Senegal as the first stop. Because the partnership that connects us is becoming more and more important. We can count on each other”.

Meanwhile, Sall, stated Germany and Senegal keep solid and trusting ties of friendship and collaboration which they have chosen to improve.
