(MENAFN) The Spanish premier stated it is "important" to cut off the Russian leader from the world because of the conflict he started on Ukraine and its worldwide effects.
Pedro Sanchez announced in the World Economic Forum in Davos "It's important to isolate (Russian President Vladimir) Putin from the international community, and this is something that we are doing. ... I think it is very important to keep in mind that this is a global challenge."
"Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and what is now at stake is international order that it is fulfilling or respecting."
Sanchez as well stressed the importance of the EU's "open strategic autonomy" to create new relations on trade with other areas, like Latin America.
