Doha: The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the decision of an Israeli court allowing settlers to publicly perform Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and considered it a blatant provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world, and a flagrant challenge to international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded the international community to immediately intervene to stop the implementation of the decision of the occupation court, in order to preserve the religious and historical status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Ministry reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
