Turkey BIST 100 index opens week with increases


(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkey’s main share index started at 2,392.34 points, increasing 19.99 points, or 0.84 percent, from the prior end.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 0.89 percent on Friday to end at 2,372.35 points with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 35.2 billion Turkish liras (USD2.2 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira trade rate declined to 15.8783 at 10.05 AM local time (0705GMT), versus 15.8880 at last week's end.

The euro/lira exchange rate was at 16.8423 against 16.7850, whereas a British pound exchanged for 19.9473 liras, increasing from 19.8830 at the last end.

Brent crude oil was traded for nearly USD111.06 a barrel at 10.05 AM regional time, whereas an ounce price of gold stood at USD1,850.50.
