European share markets end in green territory


(MENAFN) On Friday, European trading ended the final exchange day of the week in green territory.

The STOXX Europe 600, which contains about 90 percent of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 nations, climbed 3.11 points, or 0.73 percent, to close at 431.10.

The UK's FTSE 100 index was the highest performer, jumping 87 points, or 1.2 percent, to finish at 7,390.

Germany's DAX 30 increased around 100 points, or 0.72 percent, to 13,982, whereas France's CAC 40 increased 12 points, or 0.2 percent, to 6,285.

Italy's FTSE MIB rose around 30 points, or 0.12 percent, to 24,095.

Spain's IBEX 35 gained 78 points, or 0.93 percent, to end at 8,484.
