Canada prohibits two China telecom giants

(MENAFN) Canada states it is going to prohibit China’s giant telecoms gadgets manufacturers from working on its 5G mobile networks. These bans are against both Huawei as well as ZTE were publicized by the industry minister of Canada.

Francois-Philippe Champagne, minister of Innovation, Science and Industry from last year, speaks that the act is going to make Canada's phone internet services better and "protect the safety and security of Canadians". However, Huawei Canada announced that it was "disappointed" by the choice taken, commenting about it as "political".

It was noted, "This is an unfortunate political decision that has nothing to do with cyber security or any of the technologies in question.” Multiple countries, with the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand involved, have set the bans on the companies.
