Ezebuilo Ukwueze joined the services of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka on 18th November, 2004 as Assistant Lecturer. Between 2004 and 2012, he became a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
His research interests include Social and Economic Issues in the areas of processing of change and development, Poverty Analysis and Inequality and Gender studies, Financial Economics, Environmental Economics and Macroeconomics.
He has taught Economic Statistics, Microeconomic Theory, Labour Economics, Monetary Economics, and currently Development Economics and Macroeconomics. He also teaches M.Sc students Development Economics. He also supervises PGD students.
He has worked as a technical consultant to Federal Government and National Planning Commission on Benchmarking the NEEDS/SEEDS Programme, Expert Monitor in the National Bureau of Statistics' Core Welfare Indicator Questionnaire Survey (CWIQS) and Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey (MICS), UNDP/NBS' Capacity building on STATA Software for Representatives of Eight (8) State Statistical Agencies, UNDP/NBS Capacity building on Compilation of Gender Statistics, Capacity building on Compilation of Environmental Statistics, Capacity building on Compilation of Social statistics, World Bank/National Planning Commission (NPC) Supervision and Monitoring of the State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (SEEDS), USAID/DAI Capacity building on Budget monitoring, Medium Term Expenditure Framework, etc and has facilitated research in different ways.
He has published papers in several international journals and has contributed in designing researches which have won grants such as IDRC (Canada), and several grants at the (African Institute for Applied Economics) now African Heritage Institution.
