Tukey continues its fights against terror groups in northern Syria

(MENAFN) On Thursday, the National Defense Ministry stated that a Turkish soldier succumbed to his wounds from a mortar attack in northern Syria.

The ministry stated in an announcement that expert Haydar Senel was hospitalized after getting extremely wounded on May 13 in the Operation Olive Branch area.

The announcement went further on "We wish Allah's mercy upon our heroic martyr, and offer our condolences and patience to his precious family, the Turkish Armed Forces and the nation."

Since 2016, Ankara has started a triad of positive anti-terror actions through its border in northern Syria to stop the development of a terror corridor and allow the peaceful payment of residents: Euphrates Shield (2016), Olive Branch (2018), as well as Peace Spring (2019).
