(MENAFN) Netflix, the entertainment firm, has announced about 150 workers, only a month following its saying that it was having less new accounts for the first time in almost 10 years.
The terminations that were said by the firm is going to affect its American site in California. They hold for around 2 percent of its North American staff. They noted the firing were because of the drop in the firm’s income.
It is combating a departure of users in 2022. The firm stated, "These changes are primarily driven by business needs rather than individual performance, which makes them especially tough as none of us want to say goodbye to such great colleagues.”
It was said that the recruiting sector was the one who had most firings, even though it was unrevealed which part, also communications as well as the content sector were fired from. Last month, the firm surprised the field when it showed it had 200,000 accounts less than in the Q1 of this year and cautioned that another two million were estimated to leave in the Q2.
