Turkey’s BIST 100 index open Tuesday with increases


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 2,401.23 points on Tuesday, increasing 10.44 points, or 0.44 percent, from the prior end.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 1.18 percent to close Monday at 2,390.79 points, with a day-to-day exchange capacity of 34.3 billion liras (USD2.2 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira trading rate was at 15.6651 at 10 AM local time (07:00GMT), increasing from 15.5730 at Monday's end.

The euro/lira trading rate rose to 16.3695 from 16.2160, whereas a British pound exchanged for 19.4000 liras, increasing from 19.1470 at the previous end.

Brent crude oil was traded for about USD114.30 for each barrel at 10 AM local time, while the ounce price of gold stood at USD1,827.10.
