The high-profile Amber Heard-Johnny Depp defamation case has taken a new turn as Amber Heard claimed to be assaulted on their honeymoon. Amber Heard told jurors on Monday that Johnny Depp slammed her against a wall and wrapped a shirt around her neck during their 2015 honeymoon on the Orient Express.

Heard reappeared on the witness stand. She claimed on Monday that Depp had assaulted her while riding the Orient Express train in Asia. Thereby, alleging that he punched her and grabbed her by the neck when they were in their sleeper compartment.

“I was so scared that it was going to end really badly for me,” she said. She further added,“I really didn't want to leave him. I loved him so much. He was squeezing my neck against the railway car for what felt like a very long time. I remember being scared that he wouldn't mean to do it,” she said.

Depp would self-harm on a regular basis: Amber Heard

Amber Heard said the couple debated about whether Depp should drink during the journey while being questioned by her lawyers. She claimed that when Depp was sober, they had a lovely relationship, but he became aggressive when he drank or used drugs.

“That's how I woke up the next morning,” Heard said.“I woke up with it still around my neck and a giant knot on the back of my head.”

Amber recalled a“week of hell” when Depp reportedly became envious after she was offered a role alongside James Franco. She claimed he punched her and threw her into furniture. Heard alleged Depp would self-harm on a regular basis during their increasingly frequent disputes.“In fights, he often would cut his arms or hold a knife to his chest or draw blood, superficially at first,” she said.“He also put cigarettes on himself.”

Depp in his testimony said Heard at one point threw a vodka bottle that cut off the top of his right middle finger. Heard has rejected severing Depp's finger, claiming she only punched him in self-defense or to protect her sister. She had told the jury that Depp assaulted her by inserting a liquor bottle in her vagina while he threatened to kill her. Later on Monday, Heard was cross-questioned by Depp's lawyers.
