Baghdad, May 16 (Petra) –– Iraqi President Barham Salih on Monday called on government agencies to cooperate with a United Nation investigation team to document the crimes of Daesh and hold the terror group members accountable.
Saleh told Special Adviser of the UN Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide, Alice Nderitu, that those involved in terror crimes must be brought to justice, their crimes documented and their funding sources dried up.
All evidences of terrorism, including mass graves, must be gathered to guarantee that perpetrators will not go unpunished and the rights of victims are protected, he stressed.
