Kamala Harris pays visit to UAE for two reasons


(MENAFN) Kamala Harris, the U.S. Vice President, has set an American commission to go to the UAE to send condolences to the former Sheikh and set with the latest president, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The visit, which is a top one by Biden administration officials to Abu Dhabi, planned to show a powerful sign of support. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, CIA Director William Burns and climate envoy John Kerry were involved.

Afore going to Abu Dhabi, Harris noted she was going there on behalf of Joe Biden, the U.S. President, not only to give the condolences but also to stress America’s vital bond with the UAE. She said, “The United States takes quite seriously the strength of our relationship and partnership with the UAE.” Adding, “We are going there then to express our condolences but also as an expression of our commitment to the strength of that relationship.”
