China: Finland's application to join NATO starts 'new factor' in relations


(MENAFN) Mentioning Finland, China on Monday called for countries planning to become part of NATO to “follow the principle of security indivisibility.”

According to Zhao Lijian, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry “China hopes all parties will follow the principle of security indivisibility and build a sustainable regional security architecture.”

Zhao went on “Finland's application to NATO will bring new factor to bilateral ties with China,” as reported by Chinese daily Global Times.

Earlier, Beijing has pushed back labors to enlarge NATO union.

On Saturday, the ruling Social Democratic Party government in Finland determined to fill an application to join NATO union.
