Germany: Wholesale costs increase in Apr.
(MENAFN) Wholesale trade costs in Germany increased by 23.8 percent yearly last month within Russia’s conflict against Ukraine, according to official numbers.
According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this starts the main rise in wholesale business since 1962, after the data collection began.
It as well showed "The annual rates of change in February 2022 and in January 2022 had been +22.6 percent and +16.6 percent, respectively."
On the words of Destatis, the conflict's effect was witnessed particularly in raw materials and energy sources, pointing out that food goods were as well affected by the conflict.
It added "The largest impact on the annual rate of change in April 2022 had the price increase in wholesale trade of mineral oil products (+63.4 percent)."
