(MENAFN) Turkiye has long been observing Foundations Week in the second week of May annually.
Nonetheless, during the latest years, it has got a special meaning for many foundations to the nation’s minority groups.
Bedros Sirinoglu, ruler of the Armenian Foundations Union in Istanbul, informed Anadolu Agency in an interview “There was no such thing until today to invite minority foundations to the events held for the foundations week,” adding “They have accepted us as foundations, but they did not invite us to the events.”
He also said “Now, all foundation managers, Muslim or non-Muslim, are being invited,” for which he showed gratitude for Turkish Leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Sirinoglu went on “We owe this to our president and we are grateful to him.”
