Doha: The Ministry of Municipality represented by General Cleanliness Department and Doha Municipality has launched a massive campaign to clean out Industrial Area.
The launch ceremony was attended Director of General Cleanliness Department Moqbel Al Shamri, Assistant Director Muhammad Al Kubaisi and Head of General Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality Hamad Sultan Al Shahwani.
As many as 25 observers and inspectors from the two departments participated in the campaign to record violations.
A total of 12 vehicles and equipment of different sizes and 25 pickup trucks were deployed for cleaning operation. The campaign of first day resulted in the removal of a variety of waste with 8 truck loads.
The drive will last a month, subject to renewal, as field teams will intensify their efforts to maintain cleanliness, environmental safety and beauty of the area. The Ministry has called on people to cooperate and adhere to public hygiene and to stay away from wrong behaviours and practices in order to avoid legal accountability.
