BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3. Turkmenistan and the
OECD are aimed at improving the legal environment for business,
investment and export promotion, Organization for Economic
Co-operation and Development (OECD) told Trend .
'The OECD is planning to hold a series of seminars to discuss
investment and export promotion policies and also start the
monitoring phase of the ongoing EU-funded project on Improving the
Legal Environment for Business in Central Asia. This includes, in
particular, a seminar that is needed to start updating the
recommendations formulated two years ago', - the organization
said.
The organization says that in recent years Turkmenistan has been
increasingly cooperating with the OECD, paying special attention to
competitiveness and private sector development. In the future,
joint work is planned aimed at improving the legal environment for
business and trade promotion.
Furthermore, they believe that Turkmenistan can be included in
future work on the implementation of projects for the development
of trade and transport links.
