India's New Year gift to Sri Lanka: RBI extends duration of currency Swap

Colombo, April 22 (newsin.asia): In the one week since the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the total value of Indian assistance to the people of Sri Lanka has been approximately US$ 450 million.

India's unstinted and multi-faceted support to Sri Lanka continued with the Reserve Bank of India extending the duration of the US$ 400 million currency swap to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, concluded in January this year, the Indian Deputy High Commissioner Vinod K. Jacob tweeted on Friday.
