Senate president, Dutch envoy talk ties

Amman, Apr. 13 (Petra) -- President of the Senate Faisal Fayez Wednesday discussed with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Harry Verweij Jordanian-Dutch relations and means to boost them in various fields.
During the meeting, Fayez said Jordanian-Dutch are strong and 'based on mutual respect and common interests.' He called for enhancing joint investments, especially in the fields of water, agriculture and tourism, underlining the need to increase trade exchange and removing obstacles to economic cooperation.
He also highlighted Jordan's firm positions under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II on different regional issues and His Majesty's commitment to bringing about peace in the region.
For his part, the Dutch envoy lauded His Majesty's key role to achieve peace, security and stability in the region and resolve crises.
He pointed to cooperation between Jordan and the Netherlands, stressing his country's commitment to developing them to serve common interests.
