Russia has no plans to block WhatsApp

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 22. Russia is not
seeking to block WhatsApp, Chair of the Federation Council
Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Andrey
Klishas told TASS, Trend reports.
Earlier, Head of Russia's Civic Chamber's working group to
protect internet users Alexander Malkevich called to ban WhatsApp
in Russia right after blocking facebook and Instagram social
networks.
He told TASS that WhatsApp also contained a huge amount of false
information. After this, information on possible imminent blocking
of WhatsApp began to spread on Telegram channels, in
particular.
In order to clarify the issue, Klishas stated that Russia had no
plans to blocking WhatsApp.
