Jordan - PM urges utmost readiness to deal with weather conditions

Amman, Jan. 27 (Petra)-- Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, on Thursday, stressed the importance of maintaining utmost readiness to deal with the current weather conditions, in a way that provides citizens with best services and keep operations at vital public institutions.
Khasawneh made his remarks, during his visit to the main operations rooms at the Interior Ministry, the Civil Defense Department (CDD), the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
Khasawneh praised the high level of coordination among all public institutions, in addition to the private sector, which contributed to guaranteeing a positive workflow during the current polar weather conditions.
He added that such coordination among all concerned authorities has been arranged during a meeting last year of the Higher Council for Civil Defense to deal with such weather conditions.
Commenting on the infiltration attempt foiled by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, Khasawneh praised the armed forces' role in defending our security, borders and safety against such miserable attempts.
