Turkish major stock index closes Wednesday’s session on high note


(MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index ended Wednesday’s session at 1,951.17 points, increasing by 0.31 percent from the last ending. The index opened the day at 1,951.17 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index jumped 6.10 points from Tuesday’s ending of 1,945.07 points.

The lowest index worth throughout the day stood at 1,945.97 points and its highest value amounted at 1,975.25, with 51 stocks climbing, 42 dropping, and seven remained the same in comparison to last settlement.

The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.56 trillion Turkish liras (around USD115.7 billion) by market end, whereas the everyday exchanging capacity was 23.5 billion liras (USD1.7 billion).
